Angela Walker was called to the bar in 2002 and began her legal career in commercial litigation in Vancouver before returning home to Nova Scotia, where she co-founded MDW Law. Over more than two decades in practice, she has become known not only for her legal expertise but for her ability to bring empathy, creativity, and courage to some of life’s most difficult transitions.

A seasoned family law practitioner, Angela helps clients move through complex financial and emotional challenges with clarity and compassion. Her work spans business valuations, income analysis, international divorce, adoption, and child protection. Matt 2025.jpg

Matt Green

Director

Matt is a community development worker, writer, school teacher, mental health advocate, and musician from California. He spends about half the year in San Diego, CA, where he works as a substitute special education teacher, and the other half along the border of Thailand and Myanmar as the (Volunteer) Program Manager for the Karenni Social Development Center (KSDC).

In 2015, Matt was introduced to the KSDC team of volunteers and teachers after traveling through Myanmar and Thailand. He fell in love with the school, the program, and the mission, all of which were started and continue under local leadership. He has been working and volunteering with KSDC since 2016.

A self-described humanist, Matt believes there are more than enough resources in existence to care for everyone on this beautiful green and blue planet. He strives to help local communities achieve their desires, contrasting with the more common Western-driven models that dominate international development through a top-down approach.
